How to convert XP sp2 to sp3 without installing OS

Follow these simple steps to convert.

1. Open Run ( Start > RUN (or) Press Windows + R).
2. Type regedit ( it means Registry edit).
3. Now follow the specific path specified below.

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Windows.
• Now on you will see your window in this way.
• You can see CSDVersion over here. Double click on CSDVersion.
• Now edit the value of 200 (iff you are using SP2) to 300 and click OK. Now you can see your CSDVersion value changed from 0x00000200 to 0x00000300.
• Now Restart your system to make changes to your system. You have converted your system from SP2 to SP3.
